Ethnology is rooted in the land. That is why the Bistrot des Ethnologues team has invited its followers to join them on the site of the study ‘Stories from men at the heart of the vines. Social memories of the Cave Coopérative of Montpeyoux’, the result of collaboration between ethnologist Marie-Ange LASMENES, the photographer Alain TENDERO and Castelberry, the first wine producing cave cooperative in France to have used an ethnological approach to record its history, its values and the input of its members. In fact, it’s the first time ethnology has ever been used to study social memories of all wine producing viticulture. The study was awarded the silver medal of Cooperative Initiatives.
