The Convergence of an Infinitude of Terroirs

Montpeyroux, surrounded by nature & Shaped by the element: The name is derived from “Mont Pierreux” (stony mountain), that is swept by the winds. At his last halt before the mountain, the garrigue is dense and fragrant.
A vast program of plot selection has allowed the vineyard to perfect the symbiosis between selected grape varieties and the terroir. The wines produced are predominantly red and are full of freshness, elegance, and finesse. Noble and colorful grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan, and Cinsault make up the majority of the vineyard, but with controlled yields and optimal maturities.
From his exceptionally framed beautiful wilderness comes a strong desire to maintain the balance. A good part of the vineyard is certified Terra Vitis, and another one in Organic Agriculture marks a commitment of CastelBarry’s men to respect the environment in which they are located. The winds that naturally ventilate the vineyard also help to preserve the health of the berries.
